TheWoWDBWoW Forever Alchemy 1–300 guide
Compare the ingredients for the elixir or potion you can make at your current skill.
Alchemy in WoW Forever turns herbs and vials into potions and elixirs, and this route takes the skill from 1 to 300 with the fewest wasted crafts the client data allows.
Pair it with Herbalism. Nearly every step below burns stacks of low-level herbs, and gathering them yourself removes the Auction House from the equation entirely. Healing potions moved to First Aid in Forever, so Alchemy here is about mana, elixirs and protection potions.
The beta stops at skill 225, so everything from 225 up is read straight out of the 70205 client data and has not been crafted in game. Materials and thresholds can still move before launch.
Shopping list
Counts are estimates: once a recipe turns yellow not every craft gives a point. An alternative replaces its whole row, so buy whichever is cheaper on your house.

Every recipe through 150 needs one. Alchemy Supply and Trade Supply vendors stock them, and most trainers have one within sight.

Train Journeyman before 75 so you never stall; the Mageroyal and Briarthorn stretch is the longest grind in the beta range.

Alchemy's thresholds match Classic except that the healing potions moved to First Aid, so this is the Classic route with those steps swapped out. None of it has been crafted in the beta.

Recipes for Merchant's Favor
Forever's new trade factions sell top-end recipes too. The Horde vendor is Apothecary Durelle (Durotar Supply and Logistics, the camp beside the Crossroads); the Alliance vendor is Nina Surefire (Azeroth Commerce Authority, the Three Corners camp in Redridge). Supply-crate turn-ins at that camp earn the Merchant's Favor you spend, and every recipe binds on pickup. Only Major Frenzy Potion reaches 300; the other three go grey at 295.

The last 10 points
From 290 to 300 nothing is settled. Classic used Major Healing Potion here, which Forever hands to First Aid. Until live prices exist, the honest answer is: keep crafting whichever of Superior Mana Potion, Elixir of Greater Defense or Elixir of Shadow Power is cheapest, or buy the Merchant's Favor recipe for Major Frenzy Potion, which is the only recipe in that set that still gives points at 300.

- Steps 1-225 follow the community reference route that was walked in the beta; TheWoWDB has not yet crafted the route itself.
- Every count is the reference's estimate copied as a number; replace with our own once route tests exist.
- Catalog min_skill_rank is 1 for almost every recipe-item-taught spell, so 'learn' values in the extras tables carry the reference value under reference_learn with a conflict note.

Learn the recipe before buying its ingredients. The Forever profession reference reports learning instructions; we have not independently tested them in game. Source checked 5 October 2026.
If your skill cap blocks progress, check the linked training instructions before continuing. A recipe listed here may need a trainer, purchased recipe or quest that your character has not completed.
