WoW Forever Enchanting 1–300 guide

Find an enchant for your current skill and check the dust, essence or rod it needs.

Forever beta · Source checked 5 October 2026

Enchanting in WoW Forever runs on dust, essences and shards you disenchant or buy, and this route carries it from 1 to 300 with a cheaper opening than Classic thanks to new low-level recipes.

Tailoring is the natural partner: neither needs a gathering skill, and every piece of cloth armour you sew can be disenchanted straight back into the dust and essence you are about to use. Forever's new Mote of Magic recipes make the first 70 points cheaper than they were in Classic.

The beta caps at skill 225. The Artisan steps are read from the 70205 client data and the Classic route, since Enchanting's thresholds barely moved; nothing above 225 has been cast in game.

Shopping list

Counts are estimates: once a recipe turns yellow not every craft gives a point. An alternative replaces its whole row, so buy whichever is cheaper on your house.

Skill 1-225

Estimates. Yellow recipes skip points, so plan for a few extra. The 20-150 stretch forks into an essence route and a dust route; buy one side, not both. Rods beyond the Copper Rod are Blacksmith-made and usually bought on the Auction House.

Where to learn Enchanting

Apprentice Enchanting has no character level requirement in the current beta. Disenchant comes with it, but in Forever it lives in the Enchanting panel of the Professions window rather than your spellbook.

Trainer and vendor placements are from community references and have not yet been walked in the Forever beta by TheWoWDB. Ask a city guard in game: the trainer is flagged on your map.

Tools and supplies

Copper Rod

The first rod. Buy it from the Enchanting Supply vendor beside your capital trainer, never from the Auction House.

Alliance vendors

any capital Enchanting Supply vendor beside the trainer
Zephras Isle Eaysaa Brightgust the trainer sells it herself

Horde vendors

any capital Enchanting Supply vendor beside the trainer

Mote of Magic

Forever's new vendor reagent for the first 20 points. Same Enchanting Supply vendor as the Copper Rod.

Silver Rod

Made by Blacksmiths, as are the Golden, Truesilver and Arcanite rods. Buy them on the Auction House or ask a smith.

Golden Rod

Blacksmith-made; needed at 150.

Truesilver Rod

Blacksmith-made; needed at 200.

Arcanite Rod

Nothing here has been cast in the beta. Enchanting kept almost every Classic threshold, so the Classic order should hold. Bring gold for every Annora-only recipe and enough Vision Dust (about 100) to reach 250 before you leave Uldaman, or you will be going back.

To train past 225, learn Artisan Enchanting (requires skill 200 and character level 35). Costs 5 (unit not given in reference). The same trainer teaches every rank.

Annora inside Uldaman is the only Artisan Enchanting trainer for either faction, and she only appears after every mob in her chamber is dead. Expert trainers stop teaching at 225.

Enchanting macro

Levelling Enchanting means casting the same enchant onto one piece of gear hundreds of times. This macro presses Create and accepts the replace-existing-enchant prompt in one keypress.

/run ProfessionsFrame.CraftingPage.CreateButton:Click()
/run StaticPopup1Button1:Click()

Type /m, press Enter, click New, name the macro and paste the two lines.
Drag it onto your action bar.
Open the Enchanting window.
Select the enchant you are levelling with (double-check it is the right one).
Drop the target item into the optional slot.
Press the macro repeatedly.

Disenchanting

Disenchant arrives with Apprentice Enchanting, but in Forever it is not a spellbook entry: look for it in the Enchanting panel of the Professions window. Our disenchanting page covers which dust, essence and shard each item level yields and shows where the button lives.

Getting to Annora

Uldaman sits in the Badlands and has two entrances; take the back one. At level 35 you will not solo it, so bring a group or a high-level friend. Annora only spawns once every mob in her chamber is dead. Learn everything she offers before you leave: the 230+ recipes below are taught nowhere else, and about 100 Vision Dust is enough to reach 250 inside.

Taught only by Annora

Her full list with the skill each recipe needs and what she charges. The reference lists the cost as a bare number without a unit.

What is tested and what is not

Route tested in the Forever beta up to skill 225.

Beyond the beta cap: taken from the client's recipe data, not yet tested in game. Applies from skill 225.

Steps 1-225 follow the community reference route walked in the beta; TheWoWDB has not cast it yet.
The Journeyman rank holds the Lesser Magic Essence track; the Strange Dust track is the extras entry of type 'track' with replaces {Journeyman, 70, 150}.
Annora's cost column is copied as the bare numbers the reference gives; the unit is not stated there.

Structure and placement facts were checked against a community Forever guide; every word here is ours. Recipes, thresholds, reagents, icons and prices come from the WoW Forever client and our own scans.

Learning recipes and checking the guide

Learn the recipe before buying its ingredients. The Forever profession reference reports learning instructions; we have not independently tested them in game. Source checked 5 October 2026.

If your skill cap blocks progress, check the linked training instructions before continuing. A recipe listed here may need a trainer, purchased recipe or quest that your character has not completed.

Ingredients and crafting relations match our WoW Forever 1.60.1.70205 client snapshot. Client records do not establish obtainable recipes, farming locations or drops. No craft-count odds or guaranteed shopping total are used here.
