A 1-300 First Aid route for WoW Forever: the cloth and herb shopping list, every trainer by race and capital, where the Expert book and the Triage quest come from, and the cheapest craft for each skill band.

First Aid sits outside your two profession slots, so every character can take it. Bandages keep you fighting between pulls, and in Forever the basic healing potions moved here from Alchemy, which makes the skill worth having on any class.

Everything here is read from the Forever beta client (build 70205). The beta stops at 225, so the Artisan bands are the client's recipe data plus the reference's untested draft.

Shopping list

Counts are estimates: once a recipe turns yellow not every craft gives a point. An alternative replaces its whole row, so buy whichever is cheaper on your house.

Reaches the beta cap. Counts are estimates; yellow recipes skip points. The herb alternative on the first row swaps the 1-75 bandage track for the Minor Healing Potion track (it also needs vendor spices and vials, listed as vendor rows).

Apprentice First Aid has no level requirement in Forever right now, and every First Aid trainer also teaches Journeyman, so the same NPC covers you to 150.

Expert 150–225

Learn Silk Bandage from your trainer before you set off; it is the last recipe any trainer teaches. Expert itself and the next two recipes come from books sold in Arathi Highlands (Alliance) or Dustwallow Marsh (Horde).

To train past 150, learn Expert First Aid (requires skill 125).

Expert is a book, not a trainer. It has no level requirement, only First Aid 125. The same two vendors sell the Heavy Silk and Mageweave manuals; buy all three in one trip, or grab them off the Auction House if the zones are too high for you.

Artisan 225–300

Artisan comes from the Triage quest (First Aid 225, level 35). First Aid kept its Classic skill ranges, so the bandage steps should hold, but none of this has been run on the beta.

To train past 225, learn Artisan First Aid (requires skill 225 and character level 35).

Artisan is the reward of the Triage quest: the doctor hands you a stack of Triage Bandages and you must save 15 patients, critical cases first.

Healing potions moved to First Aid

Minor, Superior and Major Healing Potion are First Aid recipes in Forever rather than Alchemy ones. Herbalists can level the first 75 points on Peacebloom alone, and the 225+ bands lean on Sungrass and Golden Sansam.

Triage, step by step

Show NPC health bars (Ctrl+V), zoom out to see the whole ward, use the doctor's Triage Bandages and nothing else, stand in the middle, and hand in the instant the 15th patient is saved; waiting lets the death counter climb until the quest fails.

Camp items from this profession

Every profession adds three camp items, one per tier. Placing one at a campfire gives everyone sitting there its buff for an hour. How camping works.

The client catalog records min_skill_rank = 1 for every recipe, so the learn points the reference gives (80, 115, 240, 260) are carried in step notes only; yellow and grey thresholds agree with the reference on every step.

Learn the recipe before buying its ingredients. The Forever profession reference reports learning instructions; we have not independently tested them in game. Source checked 5 October 2026.

If your skill cap blocks progress, check the linked training instructions before continuing. A recipe listed here may need a trainer, purchased recipe or quest that your character has not completed.
