WoW Forever Mining 1–300 guide

Gather ore during your travels and check which smelting recipes can use it.

Forever beta · Source checked 5 October 2026

Mining supplies Blacksmithing and Engineering, and the Lodestone at skill 20 is the melee camp buff: a weaker Blessing of Might for everyone at the fire.

Pair it with Blacksmithing or Engineering. Smelting is part of Mining itself, so the bars for your first camp item come from your own ore.

Deposit thresholds have not been extracted from the client yet and no community leveling route exists for Mining. Smelting recipes, the three camp items and one Zephras Isle trainer placement are what we can state today.

Where to learn Mining

Blacksmith Hammer

Not a Mining tool, but the Zephras Isle Mining trainer stocks it for Blacksmiths.

Smelting past 300

The client lists these smelts above the 300 cap; untested.

Recipe	Learn	Yellow	Grey	Materials	Source
Smelt Elementium	1	310	320	1 Elementium Ore, 10 Arcanite Bar, 1 Fiery Core, 3 Elemental Flux
Smelt Obsidian-Infused Thorium Bar	1	315	330	2 Enchanted Thorium Bar, 2 Large Obsidian Shard

About the smelting thresholds

Our catalog carries yellow and grey points for every smelt but records a learn requirement of 1 for all of them, so the real learn thresholds are missing from this snapshot. Treat the yellow value as the earliest point the smelt is worth doing.

Camp items from this profession

Every profession adds three camp items, one per tier. Placing one at a campfire gives everyone sitting there its buff for an hour. How camping works.

Skill	Camp item	Copies	Source
20	Lodestone Melee attack power for everyone at the fire	Blessing of Might	Profession trainer at skill 20, after the Camping 101 quest
140	Rock Garden Spawns an ordinary mining node over the hour	—	Blueprint recipe item; the reference has only seen these drop in dungeons so far
300	Molten Foundry Crafting station for the smelting and Blacksmithing recipes that call for one	—	Blueprint recipe item; the reference has only seen these drop in dungeons so far

What is tested and what is not

Beyond the beta cap: taken from the client's recipe data, not yet tested in game. Applies from skill 1.

Deposit thresholds and trainer placements (other than Zephras Isle) not yet documented.
Smelting learn thresholds are not in the catalog snapshot (min_skill_rank is 1 everywhere).

Learning recipes and checking the guide

Learn the recipe before buying its ingredients. The Forever profession reference reports learning instructions; we have not independently tested them in game. Source checked 5 October 2026.

If your skill cap blocks progress, check the linked training instructions before continuing. A recipe listed here may need a trainer, purchased recipe or quest that your character has not completed.

Ingredients and crafting relations match our WoW Forever 1.60.1.70205 client snapshot. Client records do not establish obtainable recipes, farming locations or drops. No craft-count odds or guaranteed shopping total are used here.
