Tooltip

Shackles the target with frozen chains, reducing their movement to 5% of normal. The target regains 10% of their movement each second for 10 sec.

How it works

Casting it triggers a 1.5 sec global cooldown. Its aura procs every time its trigger condition is met.

Chains of Ice is built from 2 client effects, applied in this order:

  1. Effect 1 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 33. Its base value is -95. It applies the snared mechanic.
  2. Effect 2 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 226. Its base value is 10 per tick. It applies the rooted mechanic. It ticks every 1 sec, 10 times over the full 10 sec (100 base in total).

What it does

Chains of Ice is a Frost spell with an instant cast, a range of 25 yards, an 8 sec cooldown and effects that last 10 sec. When cast it applies an aura with the snared mechanic and applies an aura with the rooted mechanic every 1 sec. The client files the whole spell under the snared mechanic.

Generated from the SpellEffect, SpellMisc, SpellCooldowns and SpellRange records in the MoP Classic client, build 5.5.4.70631. Effects the client marks as internal hooks are left out.
