What he writes

The profession guides, the farming routes and the weekly economy reports are his. So is the code under them: the Auction House scanners, the price database, the datamining pipeline that builds the item and spell pages, and the front end you are reading. There is no editorial team here. One person writes a page and the same person ships it.

How a number on this site is made

Prices come from scanners he runs himself against Blizzard's Game Data API. On Retail the US feed is read every 15 minutes, commodities and every connected realm, with the EU commodity feed on the same clock. Blizzard rebuilds its auction data about once an hour, so a price here is at most about an hour behind the game.

Item, spell, zone and profession data is extracted from the game client's own DB2 tables on each build, not copied from another fan site. A snapshot is not a real-time quote: check the listing in game before you spend gold. Where a figure cannot be sourced, the page leaves it out.

What he will not do

No gold sales, no account sales, no boosts, no carries, no real-money trading of any kind. Advertising on the site is labelled as advertising and is never sold as editorial placement in a guide or on a board. Corrections go up when they are found. The Editorial Policy sets out how sources are chosen and how a correction is handled.
