How it works

Its aura procs every time its trigger condition is met.

Darkness is built from 3 client effects, applied in this order:

  1. Effect 1 is Persistent Area Aura (effect type 27). It applies aura type 3. Its base value is 3000 per tick. Its area radius is 15 yards. It ticks every 1 sec, 20 times over the full 20 sec (60000 base in total).
  2. Effect 2 is Persistent Area Aura (effect type 27). It applies aura type 118. Its base value is -100. Its area radius is 15 yards.
  3. Effect 3 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 226. It ticks every 1 sec, 20 times over the full 20 sec.

What it does

Darkness is a Shadow spell with a 2 sec cast, no range (it targets the caster) and effects that last 20 sec. When cast it leaves a persistent area effect on the ground in a 15 yard radius every 1 sec, leaves a persistent area effect on the ground in a 15 yard radius and applies an aura every 1 sec.
