Waking Nightmare

Tooltip

Strikes fear in nearby enemies, inflicting periodic Shadow damage and causing them to flee in terror for 3 sec.

How it works

Casting it triggers a 1.5 sec global cooldown. Its aura procs every time its trigger condition is met.

Waking Nightmare is built from 2 client effects, applied in this order:

  1. Effect 1 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 7. Its area radius is 50000 yards.
  2. Effect 2 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 3. Its base value is 1000 per tick. Its area radius is 50000 yards. It ticks every 1 sec, 3 times over the full 3 sec (3000 base in total).

What it does

Waking Nightmare is a Shadow spell with a 3 sec cast, no range (it targets the caster) and effects that last 3 sec. When cast it applies an aura in a 50000 yard radius and applies an aura in a 50000 yard radius every 1 sec. The client files the whole spell under the fleeing mechanic.

Generated from the SpellEffect, SpellMisc, SpellCooldowns and SpellRange records in the Wrath of the Lich King client, build 3.80.2.69874. Effects the client marks as internal hooks are left out.
