It's worth it mention that Diablo III comes free with the WoW annual pass and if you buy the collector's edition having already purchased the annual pass, you'll be refunded for your free copy of Diablo 3 and given four free months of WoW. 4 months x 15$ a month = 60$ of free WoW for purchasing the collectors edition.

For now i can say, that the only criteria for this achievement is the item teaching the pet and not the pet itself. Got it a few minutes ago with a bankalt that had the item still in his mailbox an didn't loot/learn it prior to 5.0.4.
If you learnt the pet prior to 5.0.4 the FOS will not trigger. Expect blizz to fix that in the coming weeks/months.
