All Expansions (11)
11 released World of Warcraft expansions, newest first. Classic carries the most Adventure Guide content of any era here, at 31 dungeons and raids. 6 eras wear their own extracted client crest.
Expansion crests as the game client draws them, in release order. 6 of the 11 released expansions have an extracted crest texture in our art library.
Tracked Patches (2)
Patches with tracked item-data changes, each with its own change log.
How this timeline is built
An expansion here is keyed off the major number of a game build: build 8.0.1.26926 belongs to major 8, so it is Battle for Azeroth. That mapping is the one thing on these pages we hold as reference data rather than read from the client, and it is the same table the item pages use for their Introduced in fact.
Everything else comes out of the datamined build history. A patch appears once we hold two builds either side of it, and its page lists the items whose fields differ between them. Dungeons and raids come from the Adventure Guide, filtered to the era the journal rows first appear in, because the map table alone files several modern instances under Classic. Items first tracked in an era are the added rows of the item build diff, which for the oldest era we hold also includes the initial import, so the pages say first tracked rather than claiming a debut date we cannot prove.
