Do gauntlet normal way, loot 5 harpoons, then run back to previous room. Gauntlet (and timer) will be reset, but you'll keep your harpoons. Now you can restart gauntlet, you won't have to wait for harpooners to come since you already have enough. Just hurry to the end, AoE when necessary and use your harpoons.
