Yea, I did this on my druid on launch day, taking advantage of the lack of skinners to leech off the corpses of mobs that they left behind... got from 450 to 525 (they go green about 500) off the same set of crabs in Vashj'jr.
Somewhat redundant info now, but meh :P

I was thinking to try this achievement since i'm a skinner and there is not as many skinners out there as others (atleast on my server). Think it will be doable only if you get Digital download of Cataclysm, because it doesn't require much time to complete.
So can anyone tell which place in Cata will be the best location to start with? I guess somewhere in Mount Hyjal or Vashj'ir since those are the zones we will visit first, but since they are going to be owerpopulated in first few hours, maybe it would be better to start in Northrend? Those packs of Mammoths and Rhinos in Storm Peaks are the first thing that i got on my mind... :D

Doubt it. Zones aren't going to be overpopulated just for the first few hours, but more like the first few days. Possibly even a couple weeks. Your best bet on this would be to get ahead of the pack and just start skinning new stuff as soon as you possibly can. Farm the mobs that you can skin till you're not getting levels anymore.
