Obtained from Razorfen Downs this item is good for a level 32-38 warrior because it offers pretty good melee stats and a pretty good attack, although this sword is not the best to get, this would be your best bet at an easy blue sword, I got it on my first run of Razorfen Downs so it has a good drop rate.

It's actually a rare drop sword and the fact that you got it on your first RFD run means you're lucky, not that it is easy to get. I have run RFD many times and have not seen this drop. Besides, for a warrior the Whirlwind Axe (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6975) is a better weapon, and obtainable at 30.

Rare drop indeed. Drops from the elites outside the instance as well I believe.

i got it in RFD today, in my first RFD run...

I bought it on the AH for 35g..I really think I got a fair deal..since it's so rare.. For my hunter.. :)

Yes, this weapon has item level 37 and 35 is the required level :)

Ok, after doing some tryouts and speaking to a gamemaster, here is how it works: If your item has a level requirement, that level requirement has to be 35+ to use TBC enchants on it. If your item has no level requirement ( i.e. Quest item ), then you have to check it's item level to be 35+. Hope this will help a few :)

You know, just as a fact, this is Mograine's old sword. :P

Although "Tales of the Past" mention this sword`s name the sword that Mograine used as his old sword is in fact a different one. The models aren`t the same. My guess is that this name was the nicer than the name of the actual sword so they borrowed it. Another possibility is that they wanted to tribute to this sword that at those levels it`s quite good. It also may point out that the wielder gives more power to a weapon or the wielder is important and not the weapon. In fact that`s why the Ashbringer was so powerful, Mograin`s purity and dedication to fighting undead made the weapon legendary

"Tales of the Past" has it's own lore which is not related to WoW I think. I couldn't find anything related about this sword being related to Mograine in any way =/

For another very rare item i dropped: Je'Tze's Bell Droped on all monster in northrend (Drop rate 0)

Let it be recognized that this was the blade Mograin used before the Ashbringer. This can be seen in Tales of The Past III 53:10, as it is given to Blazer for training to become the next Ashbringer in attempts to defeat the Lich King.

I think Boneslasher is better, because The Pacifier only has two more strength and I find it nice to have some agility on a weapon due to the crit and dodge (not dying helps me level faster, for some reason)

What an amazing weapon this is. I have been collecting all the rare ones between levels 10-35, u can only imagine how happy i was when this dropped. A word of caution though to those of you who are trying to get it while leveling; Whatever group you are in will hate and despise you if you roll need on this and win. They might even kick you out of the group. It dropped for me today, and i even had a druid giving me $%^&, a DRUID. Though getting kicked is well worth it, it still kinda sucks lol. Another one for the collection. :) Also, this sword sells a lot on the AH. easily 2-3 hundred gold on Blackrock. Then again, if your a collector, its priceless.

This item has the -exact- same stats as [url=http://www.wowhead.com/item=10758]X'caliboar[/url], but is BoE (and thus sellable/tradable). Interestingly enough, I got this from the wave of little [url=http://www.wowhead.com/npc=7349]Tomb Fiends[/url] just before you fight [url=http://www.wowhead.com/npc=7355/tutenkash]Tuten'kash[/url]. Then, later on, when we fought [url=http://www.wowhead.com/npc=7354]Ragglesnout[/url], X'caliboar dropped. I just thought that was kinda funny.

Thanks for the info on all the katanas, but the "handle" is called a hilt.

Don't downvote this comment, as it confirms that the sword is still obtainable after the 6.0 changes to RFD.

Still obtainable, just got 2 of these beauts in 6.2.4!

This dropped off a Plague-Rotted Webslinger after 199 kills. The mob won't matter since it is a zone-wide drop, but I've gotten 3 zone drops in RFD in about 41 runs.
