it's odd i got mine from a drop in burning steppes and the mobs not listed here as a source to drop it.

That's because nobody else who uses the Wowhead client has uploaded their information after receiving it from that particular mob. If you upload your data, providing you do in fact use the client, the mob should then be listed.

hah.. today I killed The Razza and he dropped TWO of these. They are averaging 45g each on Nathrezim

I don't know if there any other Diablo II jukies out there, but the Doombringer was a sword on that game aswell, gonna think thats where Blizz was going with this.

Absolutely. Similar color scheme to the original 2-hander, even. But the DII version had ridiculously good stats.

This still Drops in Stratholme got 2 today, Disenchanted one after warrior refused to pay 180g for it he was mad as when i did that Tip don't bug enchanters

Got 2 of these for my fury speccing warrior on muradin. Once I hit 55 im duel weilding these bad boys in pvp. Imms pwn so hard!

Anyone noticed that it uses the same name as unique sword in Diablo 1? Maybe there is some connection or just coincidence?

Bought 2 of these off the AH for ~30g each for my lvl 60 Fury Warrior alt to swing around in Hellfire. I also noticed, while killing the [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=16954#same-model-as]Fel Guards[/url] above Thrallmar, that this is the same model as the sword they use.

Just as a warning.. seems to a bug with this sword as I tried to put 'Scourgaebane' enchant on it which requires a level 60 item.. and was told 'item level was too low'. Reported, and waiting for a response

I got this as a drop off of a scourge champion, I consider it pretty lucking seeing as how its just a normal npc

Enchants check what is the level requirement to use items first, then check the item level

Sorry for the incredibly slow reply, but yeah that was th problem. I was lvl 58 n' th scroll of enchant requiered lvl60..

I have played for quite a while and this is one of the least popular swords in the AH. I have bought several of these over time and can hardly ever sell them for more than 10g. The stats seem fine, has a neat proc, so I guess it is because the graphics of the sword are definitely not typical vanilla wow... it is an ugly sword, there I said it! (ha ha ha).

Of course it isn't popular but not because of its looks; The speed is too fast for a two-hander. It it had a 3.8 speed, it wouldn't sell below 100g.

Got my Doombringer from a chest inside a cave located in Winterspring. Was really happy as it was my first self obtained BoE blue :)

A Fury warrior would look awesome transmogging this one and its twin sister, [item=13044].

Just got this sword whilst doing a solo Molten Core run (for Achievement). Put it on AH for 350g, and it sold in less than 10 minutes! If I'd read the above comments first I'd probably have put a 12-15g buyout on it, so I think it's always worth trying to sell items like this for a high price first. (Note: I said 'high', not insanely ridiculous! Several hours later someone had the same sword on AH for a buyout of 1,300g - needless to say, he didn't sell it.)

On my server it was sold for 10k or 11k at Cataclysm times.

I like this very much, although I would (now that Warlords of Draenor is out) replace Doombringer with a fully upgraded [url=http://www.wowhead.com/item=116453/steelforged-greataxe&bonus=620]Steelforged Greataxe[/url] (Damn, can't get it to link properly)

IMO this sword is a little too small for a 2-hander. An thus its transmog is not very popular. I ended up DE'ing this for a shard after several failed attempts to sell this for as little as 50g

Just got this at Blackrock spire while trying to get a Blackblade of Shahram.

This dropped off a [url=https://wowhead.com/npc=9098]Scarshield Spellbinder[/url] after 17 runs of Lower Blackrock Spire. Chest will likely be a better angle to farm but I wish you luck all the same!

What's sad about this one is that this is the last time we got a sword that looks remotely like Frostmourne. All the swords since then has been far more "anime" and "plastic toy" at the same time, they're all blunt, long, wide and thick, which is a good combination for something that's like a sword -- wink-wink nudge-nudge -- but not for an actual sword.
