Grim Reaper

Not sure if the database was being updated, but I had one of these drop off of a Crushridge Warmonger in Alterac Mountains.

In my early levels, I absolutely loved this weapon. It procced all the time and the proc crit chance is based off your melee crit. When it does crit, it makes Vengeance go off for Paladin's. It can also proc off your swing, and your Seal of Command so sometimes you can get two procs in one swing. Very nice weapon and is always on the auction house for 10g or less. Definately a good buy.

i beleive this is also the lowest level polearm avaible that has the "pointed down" sheath style, wich i MUCH prefer to the "stab you in the eye" counterpart.

actually now there is a lower polearm facing down sheath for the horde paladins Blood-tempered Ranseur

This has got to be one of the most common "rare" drops in the game. I was pleased when I first found it because I thought I could sell it, but it seemed that there were always 2 or 3 of them on the auction house a time.

I don't get hunters. They are always walking around with weapons that have procs like this one, I've seen at least 20 hunters with this one... Hunters, ITS USELESS! even a level 5 axe with +2agi is better >.< especially now that they have upgraded ranged weapons to a 5 yard range, you can practically melee with a bow/gun

Grim Reaper or Death. The skeletal figure shrouded in a black robe and hood which covers his face. I believe if he touches you, you die. Not sure what he has his scythe for though.

can anyone verify that this does not proc off a hunters ranged attack? It does not specify chance on melee hit.

"Chance on hit" means a chance on a hit made with the weapon on which it's stated, as it's stated on the polearm. The proc would not proc off ranged attacks.

love this weapon. perfect arms warrior weapon to level with. i use it over WW axe even. slightly less dps but faster and with a nice chance on hit proc. i definitely recommend it for any arms war or ret pally.

also, ive been trying to monitor the proc rate of the proc, looks roughly once per 3-4 mob fight (assuming youre soloing 1 mob at a time)

Everyone knows that the Grim Reaper wields a scythe. So why on earth did Blizzard make the "Grim Reaper" weapon look like a spear?

So they dont get sued by Death for using his weapon without his permission...

Now Blizzard just needs to make a scythe named Gungnir and watch us all go blind with rage.

Does Anyone know whether Grim Reaper procs in cat form?

Man, when I saw the name, I was hoping for a scythe, not a spear.

Have you ever tried to reap with a spear? Scythes are that weird shape for a reason!

Looted in Tanaris from a chest on the dock at (69, 56) in the Southsea pirate compound.
