This weapon is way too slow for a ret paladin to use. You should go for the slowest weapon possible for the highest SoCommand procs, and this is far from the weapon of choice. As a bit of further information, for SoBlood, you are aiming for a weapon with a speed of 3.5. Hope this helps future paladins out there.

I found this item at the Auction House right as I hit level 43 and I have to say it's been one of my most cherished weapons thus far. I even went so far as to invest in a Fiery Enchant for it. Fantastic polearm for a Paladin.

Paladins really shouldn't be looking for PvP weapons at level 43, and Seal of Command is for PvP. It's more fun than Seal of Righteousness, but SoR is still the best seal to use while leveling (unless you're AoE grinding with a shield, where Seal of Light is more useful). So, considering that a level 43 paladin needs to level up and should use SoR regardless of their 2h weapon speed, I still think that this is a great weapon for a paladin.

Seal of Command is by no means only for PvP. It's definitely the most efficient way to level up, more-so than Seal of Righteousness. Oftentimes your SoC proc will nearly halve an equal leveled mob's hp, and combined with Hammer of Justice + Judgment it makes for extremely fast kills.

Fantastic Polearm, especially because of its +23 strength. I use it on my hunter and its been a big help for me if i had to melee something. I'd say it would be best for a warrior though, because of the strength, or a rogue, because of the stamina.

I hope you didn't need on this as a hunter... Also, rogues don't use polearms and most warriors want slow 2h for high damage MS. A prot warrior could use this for soloing, and I suspect it would be good for most paladins.

Seal of command is best with 3.5 or slower, but really its not BAD with any 2h weapon speed. Its just worthless with 1h.

Seal of righteousness is best with 1h under 2.0 attack speed.

1h slower than 2 is the awkward one.

Do you think this weapon, or the Ice Barbed Spear [http://www.wowhead.com/?item=19106], would be better for a retadin? The Ice Barbed Spear is slower, so better for SoC, but this has better stats. I'm tempted to get this weapon a Savagery enchant and take it all the way to Outland.

ice barbed spear is just better, period. it isn't even close. slower with higher max damage, more dps, and better stats. the strength is 10 less, but the extra 10 stamina and 21 agility more than make up for it. the 10 strength is 5 fewer DPS, but the base weapon is 12 dps higher...
