I just had this drop off my first ogre kill. Looks neat and has a neat name. This ss looks nothing like it.

It's kinda funny because the only people I've ever seen with this weapon are hunters...which makes no sense. Oh well, I just felt like ranting.

I know xD ive seen only hunters, and a HIGH amount of hunters with that sword. I mean, how noob can one get! It's just so pathetic that people even think that it's good 4 hunters. I told one hunter how useless it is for him, and he just told me "I am BM hunter lol" :/ WTF does that matter? xD

You are right...I've seen only hunters having it! Around 7-9 and no other class having it O.o

THE most useless melee weapon for hunters to have. Except for huntards, since they don't know what is minimum range and only use Raptor Strike :D

This sword is really good for warriors. Because the sword wounds the target like the wound and rend Yorcie

Actually, it's not really good for an arms warrior, particularly at level 40, because Mortal Strike and Whirlwind won't do much damage. You should aim for a 3.40 speed or more weapon.

I am probably one of a handful of people that still has Gutrender. Also have Heavy Gnoll War Club, Mo'grosh Toothpick, Black Metal War Axe, Black Metal Greatsword, Zulian Ceremonial Staff, Baron Charr's Sceptre, Primitive Mantle (blue), Thug Shirt, plus many more items that are no longer available. If your interested in any of those items or others my main characters name is zombiegirll on Tichondrius.

Though this is bad for warriors, this is actually a rather nice weapon for Ret paladins. Since at this lvl, The paladin would still be lacking Crusader strike and the such. So a faster weapon would be better with seal damage with SoR or Seal of Command, since it has been changed to do damage everytime a melee attack is made. The proc is what really makes it nice.

Ticketed a GM, since the level changes of the zones in Cata, this sword no longer drops in game. Only hope now is to find one off of the AH.

Well that GM doesn't seem to know exactly either. He was just guessing and assuming like you were. Really the only way to tell or not is to just farm the mobs and see what happens.

I was given this when I first started playing by an upper member of my guild about 5 years ago. Put it in my bank and never used it. Everything I've seen so far suggests it still drops, but considering the rarity of the drop, who really knows. It's not a rare spawn so you can farm the mob.

Due to the new scaling system in older zones and dungeons, previously inaccessible loot tables are now accessible. I believe it has to do with the level at which you're looting the npc. Removed items coming back in the economy (except for items like frozen runes that still doesn't exist anymore). Good move for newcomers imo.

I have one from a while back that I don't have a record of purchasing, but I don't really mind "losing" this 1M gold that would have been very very slow to get anyway. The most reliable way to make resale gold in the AH is to stick to items that are just annoying to obtain, rather than depend on continued impossibility.

The lords, however, have only two specific spawn points and up to three can be up at the same time: two can be found at 67.1, 54.1 and the last one is inside the cave, at the end on the tunnel on the far left (or Northern tunnel when looking at your map) at 69.5, 47.0. This leaves us with the butcher: he is a rare spawn that may appear instead of one of the lords at 67.1, 54.1. He is not marked as a rare and won't get picked up by rare scanner addons by default, so make sure you keep an eye for him. They spawn fast, just kill everything there. Also the chance for area drops like:

Obtained after [u]25[/u] attempts, so very lucky on my end.
