yea but... where to get it ? is just a world drop or ? cuz the fire-blessed greatsword of the harmonious or feverflare does not work...

I was able to turn in an item level 242 Fire-Blessed Greatsword of the Harmonious (Requires Level 61) for this sword.

Can confirm, just used a ilvl 242 as a hand in.

Might be obvious, but wanted to confirm that you can still turn in the sword even if you have equipped/soulbound for Transmog collection purposes. I was able to equip it, unlock appearance, and then turn it in.

Part of me wishes they had kept the requirement for [achievement=16423] to make the crafted belt rather than handing in this item. At least before, you just had to gather the mats. Now, this achievement is completely at the mercy of either A) you lucking out and looting a world drop, or B) someone else looting it AND bothering to list it on the Auction House. Apparently, I looted one at some point because I learned the appearance, yet I sold it to a vendor because I didn't know it was actually used for anything. Now I've been trying to complete this achievement, and have been checking the AH diligently multiple times per day for several weeks, and not a single Fire-Blessed Greatsword has shown up (but tons of Fire-Blessed Blades, the one-handed version). Just overall pretty frustrating.

I'm in the same situation. I have the appearance, was hoping I could maybe restore the item on some sword-wielding alt, but couldn't. And the sword is currently for 100k on my realm, lol.

There should be some tooltip or SOMETHING indicating its importance. I just look to see if I have the appearance and if so, I either vendor or DE. And the various GREY items that are no longer useless shouldn't be GREY. If it's needed to trade for, uhh, say, PETS, maybe make it a WHITE item.

@Sarabande - the addon "All the Things" will show it is for an achieve on the tooltip. It has been invaluable for me to make sure I'm not getting rid of something I need. It uses a lot of memory, though, but it's worth it if your setup can handle running it.

Item Restoration! Had the appearance, used the support option to recover it.

I was lucky to have a couple on my bank alt. I'd already learnt it before and couldn't find it in item restoration. If anyone needs one, ill give them it on NA Alliance Frostmourne

Goes for 90k on my realm. This is one of the pricier achievements.

Edit: Got it for 300g. Just check in regularly.

I bought everything except the greatsword on the AH today probably less than 250G for the lot ... writhebark was 105G.

Just an FYI - it can be ANY Fire-Blessed Greatsword... Meaning it can have a title - it doesn't have to be *just* the "Fire-Blessed Greatsword". I turned in one tonight that was titled something like: Fire-Blessed Greatsword of the Donkey Slayer...I dunno - something like that and it worked fine. I got the ACH. I found it on the AH for 10K.

Yeah Silvansaria is right, there are many versions of the Greatsword if you go above and check out the variations.

While the low drop rates against you, the new Follower dungeons give you on option to getting this for the achievement without the AH price. Just grind away.

I ran Brakenhide Hollow twice using the follower dungeons. No greens dropped from trash.

Only seems to be grey trash loot, how do you get this?

I spent about 4 hours mass pulling in both normal and follower dungeon, never saw a single green except for Wildercloth. Anyone actually see an uncommon armor/weapon drop?

Seems like, maybe, the changes in how dungeons are scaled as of Season 4 might help more of this sword get in circulation, considering more people are running Heroics and M0s. I just managed to buy one for ~40K gold on EU. Hadn't ever even seen one prior. Worth checking AH often or even running these dungeons yourself now, considering you can gear up alts this way.

I cleared an algathar academy and a azure vault on normal and got no greens. can you not get greens in normal or just bad luck?

Feels like all the latest DLC's have general loot-starved dungeons.

It seems you can deliver any of the Fire-Blessed Greatswords I got one for 100g on AH, I just bought the cheapest one, and I now have the achievement😊 This was done on v11.0.2

welp, be careful and do not do like me, bought a fire-blessed blade for 5k on AH. There was no greatsword available didnt realised until i couldn't hand in.

if there's none available at your AH, or they're too expensive, remember that you can move gold - and the sword - through your Warbank. Found one on a different realm for "just" 14k

I tried since none in 2 of the 3 realms I play.... 3rd realm there is ONE going for .... 456k. Time to create alts in other realms.

Found one on Stormrage for 5k today, was another at 13k I considered flipping. Happy bargain hunting!

Who's idea was it to make a random world drop green required for an achievement that rewards a toy? This is only going to become more and more annoying to acquire as time progresses.

SUMMARY: I just read through all the posts and googled it and noone seems to know where it comes from, the ubiquitous "Fire Blessed Greatsword" It is a world drop meaning it could be anywhere? Which I seriously doubt. Honestly I wouldn't even bother trying to farm it, you would be better off just hoping it drops randomly at any time. I am suspecting the drop rate is less than 0.1% so you are probably better off trolling the auction house on all your different realms time-wise. I was hoping to find some glimmer of hope in all this or something but alas no. If you do decide to farm it, the best places might be Elementals around Ruby Life Shrine, Primalist area events, and The Forbidden Reach. Honestly I can't say this is worth doing for ten (10) points, if you can sell the sword for 100K do it. Good luck to everyone on your illustrious garden`

The sources and drop rates are clearly listed in the according tabs at the top of this section under, "Related." Also, the achievement rewards a hearthstone toy. Lastly, if you don't have solid information, or an understanding of the item in question, it's not typically helpful to post up content that's potentially fallacious.

I just bought a sword to complete the Honor Our Ancestors achievement, and duh, I bought the wrong one. I got the one hander "Fire-blessed blade" instead of the "Fire-blessed Greatsword". Be careful. I wont mention how much I paid for it, but I checked how much the Greatsword 2h version is going for atm and it's between 150-200k gold on various realms. I checked my transmog options and I can transmog it, so i DID get it at some point, which is frustrating. I'm not a raider, so I didn't get it out of any of the DF raids, so it must have been a dungeon or world drop. Goodluck.
