The [item=204404] are identical to [item=9653], a quest reward from [quest=2770]. it was removed in TBC patch 1.9.3 due to [item=11122], people got better helms. but the carrot was the only trinket increasing mount speed in vanilla, so people ticketed GM's constantly to change the goggles to the trinket. so it ended up being removed. then, in TBC, when people leveled up, it got obsolete at level 69, and later, in Woltk. useless at level 71. due to the goggles unique model, it has become a sought after transmogrification item, and now, in dragonflight. with the developers re-adding previously removed transmogs. they have added [item=204404], so that people can get the Goggles again after 17 years.

It is important to note that while the original goggles are Cloth only, this transmog is Cosmetic - useable on all armor types. So you might want to grab a pair even if you have the old transmog.
