Unless being a health freak, a feral druid has options far better than this in the Burning Crusade. Earthwarden (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29171) being the obvious with the stamina loss compensated by gear or disregarded in face of damage/armor increases, and Terestian's Stranglestaff (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28658) being the current 'ultimate' for damage and health.

This is another perfectly viable, relatively easily obtained two-hander that's been made all but unusable by its fast speed. 3.30 speed simply isn't acceptable when there are two-handed maces out there with speeds as slow as 3.80. Yes, this has pretty amazing DPS and stat bonuses on it, considering it's BoE, but you'll have to do the math for your spec and class. Do you gain enough by switching from whatever you're using at the moment to this, considering that it means your Mortal Strike/Slam (warrior) or Crusader Strike/Seal of Command (paladin) will probably hit for less despite upping your white damage/rage generation slightly? Do the math and you'll likely find the upgrade isn't really much of an upgrade at all.

Bottom line: Yes, nice weapon, particularly for offspecs who would otherwise not have an epic 2h for solo/BGs and whatnot. However, for Arms warr/Ret pally, do the math before plunking down 1500g--it might be better to spend that money on leveling Blacksmithing to 350 and crafting Thunder.

hmmm some points that havent been brought up, mace spec vs axe spec would make me choose this over felsteel reaper in an instant for PvP purposes.... also the +stam is invaluable... i spose i would rather be harder to kill in PvP than have sexy crits... so yeah, this is the mace for me.

im too cheap to level black smithing and get the upped thunder...

Well generally pvp warriors that have a MS build will want to have a epic 2h that is as slow as possible because the slower the weapon, the higher you hit with Mortal Strike and it also gives you more burst damage. This mace is 3.3 speed and though the 108.5 dps and though the other stats are nice this does not make it a very good weapon for a pvp warrior. The same goes for the Felsteel Reaper which is 3.4 speed, 108.5 dps and has no stamina on it. If you're a pvp warrior you'll be wanting a weapon that is even slower such as the craftable "Thunder" http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28440#00z (whi

"If specced this way," you lose Crusader Strike (and either 3% crit, 6% additional weapon damage, or something equally nice). You shouldn't be using a hybrid build at the stage of the game that you're crafting epic weapons. And you need a 2.8 speed to get all 4 Reckoning procs with SotC; 3.3 won't cut it.

you may or not remember but quite a while ago they implimented weapon speed normalization on instant attacks any weapon slower then 3.3 (like the deep thunder) instant attacks gets normalized to 3.3 so saying that a slower weapon would do more damage on mortal strike build isnt right :)

80 mote of water
80 mote of air
80 mote of fire
80 mote of mana
60 fel iron ore
40 etherium ore
20 khorium ore
6 primal nether

That's what you'll need to make it, not to hard to get if you just grind a little bit every day. :)

This is the highest level two-handed mace with a 3.3 speed at level 70. Why a 3.3 speed? This lets you get all four swings in with Seal of the Crusader when Reckoning procs. If speced this way, this can increase your dps quite a bit.

I did my maths...costs many, many times more than 1500 gold to level your BS to craft a Thunder. It took me 2 months and thousands of gold to level my BS from 250 to 375...I'm now wondering if it was really worth the time and gold! I think unless, you are hell bent on being a BS, I would recommend people to spend the 1000 to 1500k gold and buy or get this item crafted and save yourselves the aggravation. This is a good epic two-hand mace.
