I think the real question isn't which you should get, but which can you get. Hand of Eternity can be obtain thru farming and gold. Meanwhile, the mace from the Maiden and Price in KZ requires a solid 10-men group.

The real entry-level mace should be the 5 rare one hand mace all with +227 healing:

The next level mace should be epics drop/craft/exalted rep:

It's not the best in the game. This is the best entry-level mace, but Prince Malchezaar drops something better, or at least it's better for some classes; paladins and shamans might not like it because they strongly prefer mana/5 to spirit: Light's Justice

And if the mats for this Hand of Eternity are a bit steep for you, you can consider two alternatives that are only slightly inferior:

I'd disagree with your statement that Light's Justice is better for priests and druids. For a druid with full points in Living Touch (+15% spirit = effective 19.55 spirit) and Intensity (15% mana regen inside FSR = 1.629 mp5 from 19.55 spirit), and in Tree of Life form (healing increased by 25% of spirit = 4.875 extra healing), Light's Justice would effectively give 339 healing, and 2 mana per 5 seconds. This is only 22 more healing than Hand of Eternity but 5 less mana per 5 seconds. 5 mp5 > 22 healing. For a priest with full points in Spiritual Guidance (healing increased by 25% of spirit

Don't bother crafting this/having it crafted for transmogging - a couple of AQ40 runs should get you the [item=21268] which is the same skin/appearance and works well with the Pally T2 recolor set. (There's no longer a requirement to have any particular rep with the Brood of Noz to complete the BQWH quest.)

Edit: Or just farm the same model that drops off the last boss in AQ20.

You also want to take into account that since 2.3, both Priests and Druids get 30% mana regeneration from their talents instead of the 15% this person mentions. Spirit is actually an extremely good stat for both classes with this change. Light's Justice: 389.4 Healing, 3.9 mp5, 13.1 mp5 outside of the 5-second rule. (for a priest with Spiritual Guidance, Improved Divine Spirit and Meditation) Shard of the Virtuous: 348 Healing and 6 mp5. Hand of Eternity: 317 Healing and 7 mp5. [url=http://www.wowhead.

You might want to recheck your math: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28771 ^Light's Justice has 382 Healing base (382 minus 317 is 65). Add in the amount from spirit and it's a pretty decent amount; add on a spirit enchant and the numbers really fly. If you're concerned about regen, get spellsurge or spirit (depending on spec and what you think will offer more). For a priest or druid, Light's Justice is a clear winner; for a paladin or shaman, it's kind of crappy. If I were that concerned about healing, I'd get the Gladiator mace ( http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32964 ). PS: that was directed

It really all depends on how you spec your class. I have had the priveledge or grouping with fantastic paladins that blow me out of the water, as well as amazing druids, and on occassion I have been known to be fairly impressive as well.
I myself have 1798 bonus healing buffed, and slightly over 10k mana unbuffed. I designed my character for healing but compensated on a few stats in the process.
Also, I agree with Zombiepope, it's not as easy to say 'spirit is the number one stat for healers' or 'bonus healing is' or 'intellect is', in the BC it all depends on where you're heading to and yes, you may need to make some adjustements to your gear for seperate dungeons.
For instance, I have large heals, but a relatively limited mana pool to play around with. A good priest friend of mine spec'd himself entirely different within the discipline and holy trees and has an enormous amount of mana but weaker heals. We both have our moments to shine in the BC and adjust ourselves according to the situations we find ourselves in.

If this was an upgradeables weapon that would just be less people would have it due to you would have to be a macesmith to use. Primal Mights are the mats everything needs so expect them to be an expensive/rare item.

If you are a paly you want as much +int +to crit as possible. +Healing is also very important, but I dont think you should give up those too much of those stats to grab +healing. Anyhow, this is one sick healing weapon for a paly, but any healing class would love to have this im sure.

Considering that this already got buffed in a previous patch, I'd say there's a chance they'll leave it alone. Then again, they seem to be quite happy changing every epic in the game atm, so who knows. I passed on the Shard because I had this thing, so I certainly hope they buff it :/

I just got that mace on my Druid, its lovely..
Just need some updated graphics, anyway.. I suggest you gridn the Primal nether's before you begin on everything else, those 2 parts are the hardest to get and the one that makes the mace HAVE to be with on the run and get them since they are BoP..

Easily the best healing weapon in the game right now. Getting 8 Primal Mights should be the hardest part, but having a guildie with the Transmute Specialty in Alchemy would make this (possibly) trivial. Grats to the lucky crafters who get this plan! =D

Blizzard finally changed the ugly level 1 mace skin for this weapon in patch 2.1; however, these looks came with a price. Now you need an additional 10 khorium bars and 2 more primal nethers. It wouldn't be so bad if they buffed the weapon, but they didn't. With the significant upgrades that the weapons in Karazhan got, you'd be much better off going for Gavel of Pure Light (exalted Sha'tar). It will be much cheaper to run Mech over and over than farm for this puppy. The Gavel also has stamina and one more mp5 on it.

I'm pretty disappointed. This weapon used to be on par with the stuff in Kara, which made it nice for a casual player that didn't raid. Primal nethers aren't as difficult to get anymore, but this weapon is still way overpriced to craft.
