It says it's from Eversong Treasures, but i have the achievement for it and found nothing of the sort.-- guessing they mean some kind of random loot chests strewn around the forest, but those too are quite hard to find, as of early access...

Amallah-1via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

@Footzies, the comment above you answers the question. Dead Drops are the treasures that spawn everywhere in Eversong when you side with the Row thugs in the Soiree weekly event. However, people have reported getting the recipe from the other treasure types, so it likely doesn't matter what side you pick.

Amallah+14via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

I've opened well over 200 Ranger's Cache, which are the treasures that appear when you side with the Farstriders for the Soiree event. Unless it just has an insanely rare drop rate from them, we might be able to rule out those treasures. I did get 8 of the [item=265530] though, so maybe the treasures that appear when you side with someone else has different decor designs/plans.

@Steehl: Another comment said they ended up got it from a "dead drop", which I didn't understand what they meant at the time. Another commentor clarified those are treasures when you side with the Row during the Soiree, so once that reset happens and I can choose them I'll report back the results if no one else does beforehand.

Nothing new, but similar to Jep - I'm leaning insanely rare. UPDATE: Blood Knights as my soiree choice (coalesced light), I've gotten ~2000 latent arcana, 12 hangar plans (none since morning of 3/5), one rare 220 BoE, lots of green BoEs. Oh, and almost 2 levels exclusively from farming herbs and ore. Confirmed from a seller that it was a very lucky drop off of a Ranger Cache - so it is from the Ranger Cache/Dead Drop/Coalesced Light/Tomes.

After 21 years, I have decided to make a WowHead account just to post this. I see a lot of you are around the 1000 latent arcana mark and giving up hope. I am at 15,482 latent arcana. I stopped counting the bags I opened when I hit the 700 range. 4 of them were on MG market. I whispered al l4, they all had the exact same answer. "A friend gave it to me" So either there's a secret being gate-kept, or we all are just being spit on by Blizzard and only the already very wealthy players are obtaining it. -- I went from genuinely enjoying an expansion for the first time since Legion. Then I began this grind. The second day I was opening bags for 18 consequtive hours until my hands hurt too bad to continue. It ruined my enjoyment and pleasure of this expansion and I hate knowing 4 people just, had it handed to them, and the people who gave it, had no problem getting it.

I was one of those people. Neither myself, nor my boyfriend knew it was valuable. I don't even know where the pattern dropped from. I just gave it to him because he is a JC. He seems to one of only two people on our server who have the pattern.

Laikaa9+1via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

@ Ellih We chose Magisters. He actually just got one from a latent arcana right outside Silvermoon City. I just posted it on Mal'ganis AH. He gave it to me since I gave him the first one and we had no idea it was coveted.

Like that other guy said,

I have not made an account through thottbott and wowhead for 20+ years....

this is what broke the camel's back.

I am sitting at 3K Latent Arcana in my bags.... nothing.

I have only got ONE blacksmith pattern, some said they have 10-12 times. I have got a few BoE blues that have sold between 30-50K so at least there is that....

I really dont get it.

also does anyone have an addon that tracks the treasures? I cant find one that logs Coalesced Light.

UPDATE:

after 7K+ Latent Arcana, and 14hrs straight farming today, I have up and bought the pattern for 1.5million gold on A52. If you need any of these on horde side A52. Put in a Public order and i got you lol... I feel defeated.

oddly enough, like someone else said, the person i bought it from said "they bought it from someone else and dunno how they got it"... still no confirmation at all that this even really does exist, i dont believe it does (conspiracy hat)

FINAL EDIT: _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If you are on A52, send a crafting personal order to Ambùlance, I am on most days and will get it to you ASAP. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I'm very glad that there are still people like me who noticed this. Eversong Woods has the worst chests. they cannot be collected during battle. they are almost empty. it brought me nothing but irritation. I don’t care what they say, there is a description of the source. and it's not him. or him.

Frayne+6via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

I have also tried the treasures but I have had no luck.

Just a thought, but maybe you can get it from [li][item=260541 domain=www][/li] This cost 600 Jewelcrafting Moxie, and it says you can get Jewelcrafting recipes from it. I tried on two characters, but didn't get any recipes, however I know someone that got a different recipe from it which gave me the idea that maybe you can get this one from it aswell.

Maybe give it a try and post here if anyone gets it from this.

EDIT: So I asked them more about the recipe they got, it was an Inscription decor recipe but they had bought the Enchanting Surplus Reagents, so you may be able to get this from any of the Surplus Reagents.

Am posting here for the first time to confirm that I did indeed get this from the Soriee treasures around Eversong. I was on a level 90 toon that had mining and blacksmithing, so having jewelcrafting on toon does not matter. I had aligned myself with the Blood Knights so my Dead Drops were Coalesced Light. I had farmed about 1-2k arcana total over 3 days while mining. If you have anymore questions I'll try to answer but i got it like 30 minutes before posting this here so i probably know just as much as yall do.

6000 Arcanas in and still no luck. I already fell victim to the sunk cost fallacy and cannot stop until I get it. If you value your sanity and haven’t started yet, I would recommend waiting for others to get lucky and buying it off the auction house once prices have dropped. If you’ve already lost your sanity and don’t mind an unrewarding, painstaking grind, let me share a few tips that could help you in this madness: 1. Use a druid if you can! Probably obvious, but druids can loot in flight form. You cannot loot while in combat. If you are quick about it, you can loot before entering combat and fly away. If mobs are too close, just lure them away, take off, and loot before the mobs return. This saves a lot of time - especially now when most people aren’t geared up yet. 2. Choose your weekly faction wisely. I picked Blood Knights last week, this week I’m with the Magisters. The Light Orbs of the Blood Knights are significantly easier to see than those stupid little books from the mages. If you’re just in it for the treasures, I would recommend choosing a faction with easy-to-spot treasures. 3. Server choice is important. The mini-map icon vanishes once the treasure gets looted for the first time. I’ve noticed increased activity in the treasure hunt over the last couple of days. Could be the approaching weekend, but I find it more difficult to find treasures on a well-populated server. I switched to a less populated realm pool and the treasure-to-time ratio is better now. Just a theory: From the data collected here and my own experience, I fear that the recipe has about the same drop chance as any other blue drop. I find a blue item in about every 100 treasures (≈300 Arcana). That’s about 1% for just one. With maybe 40–50 different blues (sets for every armor class plus weapons and so on), the chances of acquiring this recipe are… well, I don’t know. Do the math - I’m too exhausted and stupid to do it myself. Good luck hunting (or have fun laughing at us for trying)!

Just like the other guy, I came here to say for the first time of my life, that I joined the ride! I am completely lost in this savage hunt and I can't stop. Although only 5-6k Arcane in, I am hopeless and still motivated to go on. To spice things up, I chose another faction which brings a breathe of fresh air. I don't know the spots (yet) and I am standing in the grass with a magnifying glass searching for the tiny books. It hurts but its still fun in an horrible way..

prices start to drop for the recipe and I am considering buying it off the AH as soon as a threshold is reached, but I am not sure if that would satisfy me enough.. Maybe I need this, although I hate it?...

So I’ve been farming this for two days now (over 2000 nodes looted) and believe I have come across a solid strat. Here’s a step by step for everyone starting Step one : finish the campaign and enter the end game Step two: every week go to eversong woods and take part in the soirée event. This event will have you pick one of 4 factions to earn favor with (which one you pick doesn’t matter) Step three: after you pick “eversong treasures will start appearing on the map as blue dots. Loot those dots until the pattern drops. Step four: make a blood oath with Cthulhu, Foot Momma Xal'atath and the ghost of Chuck Norris to increase the drop chance Step Five when all hope is lost drop my guild mate Bawx’s house for a refreshing and motivating lobotomy, he has an Icepick on standby. Step Six: Go to Goldshire Inn and sell yourself for gold as it’s more respectable than buying wow tokens. Amass 800k-1mil gold and just buy it on the AH from a scrub that got it on their 1st node
