The more important fact to point out would be you can by them from venders that are "Trade goods vender" "Blacksmithing Supplies" "engineering supplies" "mining supplies" (though a miner with no craft actually wouldnt need one.) remember to bank it when your not useing it, space will be important low level.

After a while it makes more sense to just buy one whenever you need it and trash it when you're done.

This is the item with lowest DPS in the game, as of 2.2.3.

One may think that such an item makes a feeble weapon as it is not considered a melee weapon for many skills. Hogwash I say! I have commited suicide many a times with said weapon equipped, and I can happily report that it remained completely intact. In fact, it had not a single scratch on it! That's right, this weapon is completely unbreakable, and when paired with its [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=7005]invincible cousin[/url] in your offhand, it makes quite a fearsome duo!

True. It is the best combo for enh shammys and fury warrs. I don´t understand why it says: Requires melee weapon when you try to use Stormstrike or Whirlwind pffff

NPCs learned their mistake, now this one have durability aswell.

Some people rp with it :) or lower level allys can use the anvilmar/miltada(or whatever) hammer :)

This item owns mobs if you just have enough attack power. For example I critted 170 with this "weapon"!

The Blacksmith Hammer no longer has the lowest dps in the game, the new item is the [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=38268]Spare Hand[/url] which can be pickpocketed from random mobs in Northrend. The only bad thing about the awesome hand is that it requires level 70. [b]Spare Hand + Blacksmith hammer = Awesome Dual wield![/b]

Look at a weapon's "Item Versions" or "Same model as" tab for ones easier to obtain or a different color or weapon type. Higher levels can obtain Appearances for lower-level alts. If you want a quest Appearance from the opposite faction but do not have a character, use a Class Trial. Let me know if I missed a weapon! The new profession equipment no longer requires Engineers to have [item=5956], [item=6219], or [item=10498] in their inventory or equipped as profession equipment.

Why would the text "Blacksmithing Tool" be [b]RED[/b] in the floating tooltip in-game? I've been looking everywhere for an answer to this but I'm coming up empty handed so far.
