Crystalline Geoknife

I got this as a drop from a trash mob in the regular Grim Batol instance. It's level 85 Bind on equip so it should sell nicely. I really have no idea on the drop rate, though I would imagine it's just a random world drop - something like 0.1% or so.

Can confirm the 0,1% droprate, as the "Dropped by" says so. I got it at my rogue and it's a nice fistweapon with some cool rocks floating around it while holding it. Edit: made a screenshot and uploaded.

Anyone else think this thing looks like a Needler from Halo?

It does require level 85 to use, but the item level is still 333. I have noticed a few items like this that require 85 but are under the item level of heroics drops (346). 333 Item level is around 83-84 required I believe.

Unfortunately for anyone trying to sell this knife, only those who would prefer haste would take it over [item=52493].

Edit: Then again, now that gem prices have skyrocketed with patch 4.3 this would be cheaper, though people are more likely to buy one of the Epic drops from the AH.

Or those who want an upgrade NOW, and don't want to wait for that to appear on the AH... never underestimate the power of the impulse buyer... ;)

This will sell fairly well when Transmogging comes out, I'd imagine. It looks pretty amazing.

Yes, unfortunately, noone wants to buy it without the matching offhand, i cant coutn how many whispers ive gotten after a WTS asking if i had the offhand too :/.

Along with many other main-hand specific fist weapons in the game, such as [url=http://www.wowhead.com/item=37631/fist-of-the-deity] Fist of Deity[/url] , [url=http://www.wowhead.com/item=32944]Talon of the Pheonix[/url], and [url=http://www.wowhead.com/item=32946]Claw of Molten Fury[/url], this will become one-hand in MoP, and will finally be usable in either hand (and transmog to either hand).

Got mine while farming spiders in Tol Barad for Savage Leather. As of this writing, spiders are not named in the "Dropped by" list.

This dropped off a [url=https://wowhead.com/npc=46569]Forgotten Ghoul [/url]after 18 kills in Tor Barad. You should have better luck farming chests in Cata zones, but good luck all the same!
