Massive damage, good armor compensation for a 2 hander, and +10 defense all at level 31. If you throw together the right str/stam mail, you could easily tank while weilding this for a few levels (as tanking isn't so serious at those levels). Have your fun tanking while you still can >=D.

[s]This weapon is eligable for Savagery.[/s] And the only reason I'd see using it is if you're trying to solo some mobs, as Prot. Because you'd want the damage output of a 2h, but the defence of a Sword/Board, I know it pales in comparison but whatever works. It's what my Prot warrior's using. I even will toss Savagery on it for a 'pretty' while I'm leveling. It'll oddly help >.> EDIT: They moved the requirement up to level 32 on Weapon Requirement, Even though it has efficent Weapon Level, it's unable to recieve the enchant.

In Vanilla WoW this was actually doable (speaking as someone who played a warrior in Vanilla and was able to pull it off). However, nowadays, its not really doable anymore. It took skill and knowledge of aggro management through damage on the warrior's part. Also, it wasn't really able to be done past a specific level and only done in specific dungeons. Also, this dropped for me while farming mats in Feralas, from the Jademir Echospawn on the little island in Feralas.

Certainly for those who want to get a clean simplistic look back, this will be a treasure for transmogrifying. It just looks cool and like a REAL nodachi, not some cartoonish mess like all the high-level weapons.
