Elemental Mage Staff

Got this from a friend when my shaman turned 60. Gives a nice boost to Flame & Frost Shock and provides very good melee dps as well :)

Believe it or not, this dropped off one of the Crocs on Hakkar's Island in ZG. Don't forget to loot everything within the instance! You may miss something like this! We almost did! This staff goes for about 400 to 600g on Runetotem. I've heard that it can go anywhere from 1000 to 1200g on opening day servers.

I would not recommend this staff for a mage at least. http://www.wowhead.com/?item=18534 is a much better choice as well as several others. The resistances are basically useless and the +34 fire/frost damage isn't worth the hundreds of gold spent.

Far more useful as a resist staff then as a main equip staff

I prefer Amberseal Keeper for a resist staff.

This staff is not worth more than 200G in my opinion. The +dmg is nice but not enough to warrant that much gold. It lacks viable stats for endgame and that is what staves are known for, sacrificng +dmg/crit/spell penetration for extra stats. If it is less than 200G or you get one on a drop then equip it by all means but otherwise don't spend you gold on it.

Sell it and reap the profits of the moron who bought it. It's much easier to put this towards an enchant or your epic mount.

You couldn't pay me to use this staff :). Just get witchblade + AV offhand and you're in far better shape. Can't believe people actually buy this thing >.<

This staff can prove to be unbelievably useful for any frost mage in a number of endgame encounters (Rag, Vael, the BWL dragons) as a part of your fire resistance gear. You'll have a hard time finding yourself any gear with the combination of both fire resistance and +frost damage. Very good tool to have in your bag.

I got this staff in Winterspring off on of the elites in the southern end of the zone. I still have it at 62. Enchanted with +30 Spell Power makes it better than anything I've had drop in TBC so far.

I don't think there is anything better than this staff untill "batlle mage's batton" it's definitelly worth enchanting +30 or +40 spell damage

Don't wait til Battle Mage's Baton. Just do a couple of runs through the Hellfire Ramparts and grab the Crystalfire Staff http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24069 which is on par with the epic staves from MC & BWL

I had this thing drop off a lvl 58 Dredge Crusher in silithus. I was like omg, how did that just drop?! As a lvl 57 pally i dont need it, so i'll just sell it and make some money =)

Dark Iron Server Horde side, this is SUCH a Trade Channel Joke...just as the staff itself is...

The joke started when Freich found the Staff and tried a little too hard to let people know that he had gotten his hands on it. He spammed it over and over, then other people started spamming it over and over. Then people started fucking up the joke by saying shit like "I stroke my [Elemental Mage Staff] softly and moan!" Freich hates you all by the way. ~Freich's Brother Inflamabull.

A very nice staff for shamans, mages, loks, and priest. but i would dump it rite after i get the Staff of twin worlds.

Actually, even the Staff of Twin Worlds is better than this. Sacrifices maybe 1 or 2 damage, but has actual stats.

Don't listen to all the bs on this staff its a lev 56 staff not a lev 70 staff, it will get you to lev 70, and by then you will pick up a few new ones with quest rewards along the way, people open your eyes and look at what your seeing before just looking at the colors before you post bs comments. there is tons of fire casters in bc, frost is a very good way to deal with those hard to kill fire chuckers, with the right gear wich comes along soon after yada yada yada; My point is the 200-400 gold spent on this staff depending on the market at the time will be small to the amount of gold your going to spend on all the repairs in bc, 115 hours played

Do not buy or equip this, as simple as that. Above poster is there trying to suggest that wasting 200ish gold for this piece of murloc-poo would be worth it...Well, you`ll get to enjoy your cool resistances for two levels after which you can get your hands on [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29910#reward-from]The Staff of the Twin Worlds[/url]. According to the tooltip here it says 37 feral attack power. This staff just dropped on a run in Stratholme on my 48 druid and it tells me that there is a [i]38[/i] attack power bonus for druids. (i know big whoop 1 ap)

This is not a level 61 item.

I was killing Twilight Cultists is Silithus and one of them dropped this, I found it weird that a cultist would drop an epic.

Could be very good for transmogrifying now. Nearly impossible to get, and on Undermine's AH, it's going for 12000g. I'm really digging the look of it, though. It could make quite the outfit.

On Wrymrest Accord as of today, there was a single selling for 2,500g. Very rare yes, but not as rare as its counterpart, the Hale Magefire, which doesn't seem to be any in the AH atm..

For any interested, the enchant power torrent DOES show on this weapon.

It looks as though [item=944] is a rare drop from a number of raids: ([zone=2677], [zone=2717], [zone=3428]). It is [b]important to note[/b] that the [b]flame color changes[/b] a bit depending on the enchant you use. Other staves that have this same model are: -[item=13000] - which has the same drop-zones as the above staff. -[item=1607] - which is a lvl 50-60 zone, rare, world drop. Happy hunting!

Just had this drop from one of the elite Hydra's on Alcaz Island

Just got one in Temple of Ahn'Qiraj, not sure which mob as the pack was crowded.

Dropped off [npc=9236] in Blackrock Spires.

Dropped off [npc=12460] in Blackwing Lair today.

Currently not listed on the loot table of the NPC. Hopefully my wowhead data submission will fix that.

Edit: So about 13 days after I uploaded the data, it now appears in the loot table on the Death Talon Wyrmguard on wowhead. Great!

This also drops in Molten Core, took close to 150-170 runs, but the important is that people know it can drop there too.
