Friend of a Friend: The Countess

In order to get this quest, you have to be invited to a friend's Ember Court scenario (you queue just like a normal party). Once in the scenario, after the setup time is complete, your friend should instantly complete the Ember Court scenario, putting it in the Afterparty phase.

Once in the Afterparty, you can collect this quest from The Countess if the host of the Ember Court scenario has achieved Best Friend rank with them. If they are not Best Friends, you will not be offered the quest.

You can collect all of the guests' individual Friend of a Friend quests in one run of the Ember Court, as long as the host has the [item=177234] in their court. The bell is located in the tower you start out in, on the balcony- climb up, and the host must ring the bell. All Best Friends will then join the Afterparty, and you can get all the reputation bonuses in one go.

I entered the Ember Court scenario in party with my Friend. She is 'Best Friend' with 9 of the 16 scenario Guests. I was not Best Friend with any. She was party leader. She had Not yet done the scenario for the week. I HAD completed the scenario for the week but regardless I was able to re-enter in her party. She had the necessary [item=177234] in the tower.

The scenario proceeded normally. I was able to see the other Court Favors she had earned but could Not effectively interact with any of them or any of the events Except for the [item=177232] transmogrifier located in the tower. She was able to end the scenario early by speaking to Prince Renathal and choosing that option. When I spoke to the Prince he only offered me the option of leaving. The [item=177234] was Not interactive to either of us until the scenario ended and we entered the After Party phase.

In the After Party phase I was able to interact with more options, particularly all of the Prince's options. The leader was able to use [item=177234] but I was Not able too. All 16 guests streamed in through the East gate.

I was able to collect & turn in the "Friend of a Friend" quests from 5 of the guests BUT not from all 9 of the guests with whom she was Best Friend. We were unable to establish why the other 4 'Best Friend' would Not offer their quest. There was No relationship between those that offered the quest and those that had just participated in the scenario. There was No relationship between those that offered the quest and those that had participated in my own earlier weekly run of the scenario. Reloading UI had no beneficial effect. Calling the guests to gather at one location had no beneficial effect.

Those guests that gave the quest had the usual '!' over their head but it was quite small. The '!' was visible to me but Not to the party leader. The quests are as simple as 'accept' and immediately click on dialog box to complete.
