Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 4 reagents for one craft of Flux Cogwheel cost 148 gold68 silver. Most of that is Song Gear - 2 at 48 gold each, 96 gold, 64.6% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 156 gold50 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 8 gold73 silver, which does not clear it.
The crafted item currently lists for less than its reagents cost: −139 gold95 silver before fees, and the Auction House would still take 43 silver65 copper of a sale, so a craft loses 140 gold38 silver at these prices. At current listings, buying the crafted item costs less than making it. That is an estimated -94.4% return on the gold you put into reagents.
Listing depth right now: 630 units across 162 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
