The crafting estimate above is the base comparison: rank 1 reagents against the rank 1 result. Your skill and the reagents’ ranks decide which rank a craft actually makes, so a higher rank is never priced against rank 1 reagents here. Right now rank 1 lists above rank 2, so a craft that comes out at a higher rank is worth less at today’s listings, not more.

Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Vibrant Wildercloth Bolt cost 64 gold60 silver. Most of that is Wildercloth Bolt - 3 at 20 gold20 silver each, 60 gold60 silver, 93.8% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 68 gold - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 49 gold95 silver, which does not clear it.
The crafted item currently lists for less than its reagents cost: −14 gold65 silver before fees, and the Auction House would still take 2 gold49 silver of a sale, so a craft loses 17 gold14 silver at these prices. At current listings, buying the crafted item costs less than making it. That is an estimated -26.5% return on the gold you put into reagents.
Listing depth right now: 635 units across 42 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
