Tailoring 476 gear takes 6 (chest) and 4 (hands) imperial silk. Ten days of cooldowns. That's all.
Blacksmithing equivalent gear takes 8 (chest) and 5 (hands) living steel. Thirteen days of cooldowns. PLUS 16 (!) spirits of harmony.
Why?
In levelling from 85-90 plus over a week's worth of dailies and heroics, I've managed to gather all of 8 spirits of harmony. Will take weeks to get 16, and that if I only wanted them for this gear. Can't buy them, they're BoP. End result: I won't even bother to make this gear.
Is Blizzard basically saying they wish to punish blacksmithing? Or just making things excessively easy for 476 tailoring? The huge difference between the 2 professions makes absolutely no sense.

This is where your REP with the tillers comes in. At exalted with them you can plant 16 Songbell's a day which will give you 3 Spirits of Harmony in 2 days.

I agree. I'll be in LFR before I have enough Harmony to make these, and will they be worth it by then?
