Brawn is definitely better than Assault because Blessing of Kings affects Str but not AP.
Don't forget about hunters - they get 24 RAP from the AP enchant, but gain nothing from this one. You are correct about BoK though - a warrior, shaman, paladin, or druid should never get the AP version.
