Even asking in trade might result some free ones being sent to you. The use of Bruiseweed makes this a cost effective recipe. You usually can sell these to people who may be questing, or use them yourself.

The cooldown isn't as great as it once was; but it still does a pretty nice job for WSG flag runners, or people who have to grind spiders or scorpids for a while (like Shimmering Flats) and they don't want to wait a few minutes to take off the poison.

Yes, in 2.2, Elixir of Poison Resistance is now Potion of Curing. If you knew the old recipe in 2.1, you'll know the new one in 2.2, and any vials of the old elixir you have will convert to the new potion. The major change is it only works on level 60 effects and lower. It's unclear whether it's also on the potion cooldown. It's just another old world recipe nerfed because people were putting it to use in the new endgame.
