to get to first aid skill of 40 you have to use about 50-60 linen cloth
best way to get linen cloth is to run ragefire chasm on your main as nearly every mob in the entire instance drops them 5 at a time
happy farming

Not everyone enjoys traveling all the way to RFC to farm linen. The guards like to slap me around so Im a little weary of it at times. Any of the low level dungeons (SFK, Deadmines, Wailing Caverns, RFC) should drop ample amounts of linen, and as in the case of Deadmines, a decent pile of wool. Altho linen is usually very cheap, most times you could buy enough linen to power level your first aid to wool for under 1g.
