Swift Zhevra

Miss this mount the first time around? No worries--as of 12 Nov 2013, you can claim this mount again, or one of several other mounts/pets through the Recruit-A-Friend program!

Well if it's only a buff, then how come that there are 4 different swift zhevra models to be implemented in the game? How come the tooltip info is the exact same as any other mount, execpt for the word "zhevra"? How come it has a 3 sec casttime if it is a buff? Also, i've been in the barrens many many many times, done the quests there many many many times, never have I ridden a zhevra. So.... Unless you prove that it is a buff, then i'm afraid to say that what you claim, is wrong.

How to get a Zhevra:
Note: This is the bare minimum, if you want BC you'll need to get either the WoW battle chest or the original WoW and the TBC box separately.

The total cost for me was $30 for the WoW battlechest (including TBC and strategy guides) and $30 for the 60 day GTC. So $60. If you wanted to do it without BC you could probably get by with $50.

2. Buy a WoW box from whatever store you choose. You could also get a key, I believe, directly from Blizzard.

4. Create a gmail account or another freemail email address.

6. Login to your account management and click "Refer a friend" then enter the new email address.

8. Get the email you get on your new email account, follow the link in the email and create your account. Note: it will ask you for the code in the email.

10. Upgrade the account to a full account by clicking the upgrade link in account management. You'll need to enter the code from the WoW CD sleeve. You can also upgrade to BC on the new account now if you like. Note: Upgrading to BC is not required to get your Zhevra.

12. Go to a reputable GTC reseller (I googled and clicked the first one in the sponsored links on the right side.) and buy a 60 day GTC. You must pay for the time with a GTC instead of a credit card because Blizzard won't charge a credit card until the free months of play are done with.

14. Get your GTC code from your email, login to Account Management with the new account and add the code.

16. If you never logged out of account management (either in a different browser window/tab) then you need to relog into account management using your main account.

18. On your main account in account management, click on Refer a Friend and now you should see (1) under the rewards tab. Click that tab and this is where you select the character you want to give the Zhevra to. Choose wisely as you can't unchoose this and there's only one of them.

20. Login to the character you gave the Zhevra to and you should have a mail containing it.

Not only does this get your main character a Zhevra it also gets you +300% XP gain for quests and mobs on any of your less than 60 characters for the next 89 days (it says that instead of 90) if you stay grouped and in close proximity to a character on the referred account. My wife and I are doing this right now and we've hit level 18 in 6 hours and we've been sorta putzing around.
