Well, to me the point of this is, now Alliance has a portal location in southern Kalimdor, and Horde has one in southern Eastern Kingdoms. I don't know about you, but I hate spending 15 minutes flying from Darnassus to Silithus, Un'Goro or Tanaris.
As of 17-Sept-2012, this spell takes you to a place above the new crater in Theramore, IF, at this point, you have completed the Theramore scenario. Those who haven't may still see old Theramore.
Fall damage for now. Expect this to be fixed soon.
For fun: Cast portal for Theramore at the spot where you land and click as fast as you can to beat the fall damage. Now you're thinking with portals!
