These transmutes are still on the shared Xmute cooldown (with things such as truegold and living elements) as of 4.2. I would not reccomend trying to use these to turn excess eternals into another type for the purpose of leveling a profession or crafting gear for an alt, as using a cata xmute would net you more money that can be used to just buy eternals.
