Actually, no need to buy the saronite if you farm the veins in Sholazar Basin -- it's the best place to farm both the saronite and elementals, by far. Making a counter-clockwise (direction doesn't matter, really) spiral path, I was able to farm 140 saronite ores in 40 minutes and had enough crystallized elements for enough mats for two or three titansteel bars. The crystallized earth is the most common, but I looted plenty of shadow and fire. I also struck rick with three titanium nodes, which helped out my farming even further. Farm the eternals in wintergrasp, and go buy the titanium bars - let someone smelt it for you and go buy the saronites, there you go new helm! :)
