You can't parry, dodge or block while channeling. You cannot move while channeling. It's 3 seconds long total. Your normal rotation will deal twice the damage this does in the time to cast, and even if you wanted fire damage, racials won't trigger any of your class effects and talents.
It's obvious the design team wanted to utilize the charging spell mechanic from evoker, and that's nice. But this is just never worth pressing.

So yes, fellow Earthen players, you can safely remove this from your bars. It feels awful, and it is awful. I hope it gets changed.

I think thiis needs to be given the ability to dodge/parry/block during the empower, otherwise I think it clashes gameplay-wise with the clearly tank-oriented Titan-Wrought Frame.

I don't think there is one spec in the game that would waste 1 or 2 GCD's on using this, rather than just using their own spells.
