Cauterize Master

This is a spell of the warlock minions Imp and Fel Imp. A few notes and clarifications:

• 
  
• This is considered the main spell of the Imp and is triggered by the warlock spell Command Demon.
• 
  
• The “small amount of damage” dealt by this spell scales with maximum health, but not with spell power. My tests suggest that the damage dealt is equal to 1.2% of the player's maximum health with no mitigation effects active.
• 
  
• The damage can be mitigated (e.g. by Unending Resolve) and absorbed (e.g. by [spell=110913]). Furthermore, it is affected by PvP resilience. Since there is a baseline PvP resilience, the actual damage usually will be lower.
• 
  
• The damaging effect can critically hit (for double the normal damage).
• 
  
• The healing effect probably cannot crit. I haven't seen a single crit in 20 spell casts (amounting to 80 ticks) with a crit chance of 20%. This appears correct, as the healing effect uses a different mechanic than normal heals (specifically, “Apply Aura: Mod Total Health Regen %” rather than “Apply Aura: Periodic Heal”), and none of the player-based spells using this mechanic can crit. In the combat log, the two types are indistinguishable.

• The amount healed by this spell changes on the fly if your maximum health is altered (e.g. if you receive the 10% stamina buff while the heal is already active, the remaining ticks' healing increases).
• 
  
• [spell=104938] and [spell=108359] boost the healing received.
• 
  
• The Troll's racial Regeneration (which increases healing provided by the “Health Regen” mechanic) has no effect on this spell.
• 
  
• The damage and healing done by this talent are both in the Fire school.
• 
  
• The buff is classified as a Magic effect and thus can be dispelled.
• 
  

the self damage of Cauterize Master can break control abilities those will (not "may") break immediately by any damage, including:

This ability was removed from game in Patch 8.0.1. The correct Imp ability gained from Command Demon is Singe Magic.
