TheWoWDBI'm not sure whether it is due to my transmog (Firelord set), but I didn't really notice any smoldering going on after combustion faded. I assume that is what they mean by that description.
Edit: Just tried switching to my T6 transmog and didn't notice much difference there. Since that is white,purple and brown in coloring it ought to have shown more clearly with that gear look I figured.
