Guild Herald

Word of warning:

With the new non-combat companion functionality in 4.1 (pets staying summoned when you zone / die and rez / relog / etc), you'll need to be a little careful with this guy. Summoning him flags him as your active companion, and if you do not summon another pet after he has run off, he will *stay* flagged as your active pet. This means that as soon as the 4-hour timer is up, he'll immediately resummon (or the next time you log in, if you were offline at the time), re-triggering that 4-hour cooldown. This is, technically, not a bug, since it's exactly how the system is *supposed* to work, but is frustrating to 'lose' this 4-hour cooldown.

Make *sure* you call another pet once you're through with the Guild Herald (and the Guild Page)!

Unique Features
The Guild Herald shares a model with the Guild Page. This pet has different models for alliance (human) and horde (orc) and has fairly generic animations which are shared with humans/orcs.

How to get it
The Guild Herald can be purchased from the various guild vendors in all major cities for 500g. You must obtain a minimum of exalted reputation with your guild as well as complete the Profit Sharing achievement in order to purchase this pet. You can ask a guard for directions to the guild vendor if you are having difficulty finding them.

This pet has a four hour cooldown and acts as a portable guild vendor, allowing the owner to purchase guild rewards.
