This feast is the DF version of SL's Stone Soup. You can either contribute several pieces of meat, several pieces of fish, or 1-2 of a finished dish to fill it. I was a bit concerned when I saw the UI ask for specific finished dishes, but on hover it only requires 1 (or in some cases 2) of them to contribute.

As a stone-soup equivalent, if you're not familiar, this is a type of feast that you set down and then other group members can click on the pot to fill it with ingredients. When the bar on the UI is full, it will become a usable feast. It ends up being cheaper to make because everyone can contribute and it also spreads the workload of making feasts.
