Sthaarbs's Last Lunch

The source for this mount is [npc=234845], an Elite Rare which will appear at the center of The Oasis in K'aresh, and then start attacking the eco-dome's barriers. You can recognize it by its standard Elite Rare vignette (with current health shown on mouseover!) on your map. From the limited testing (they just made Sthaarbs available in Build 62049, July 17th), it appears that we see this Rare respawn exactly 60 minutes after the last kill./way #2371 74.0 32.5 Sthaarbs

Sthaarbs is supposed to drop the [item=246160] devourer mount randomly. Every Level 80 character is eligible for Sthaarbs's loot once per week, but maybe we have another one of these "first kill on the account each week has an increased chance" mechanics.

When active, it is required to enter Untethered Space to attack Sthaarbs, which means your character must equip at least the basic version of the [item=235499] artifact cloak and therefore be Level 80!
In the best case, you use the Phase Diving waygate system to teleport to the Phase Conduit in The Oasis. As long as Sthaarbs is alive, in Untethered Space, you'll see a [npc=247046] keeping up a portal nearby, and when you get close to the portal, an Extra Action Button will appear to [spell=1242221] you to one of four floating platforms surrounding the Rare up in the air, and this is where you fight. Each platform has two little arcane puddles that will knock you to the next platform to the left or right when you step into them.

When engaged, [npc=234845] is using these abilities:

• [spell=1214262] (the Echo orbs at the end will knockback on hit, which usually means you fall from your platform, probably to death)

• [spell=1243668] (I didn't test if you can dodge this at the platform's edges, but the intention here is to avoid it by moving to another platform, e.g., by stepping into the mentioned arcane puddles)

• [spell=1243673] (a nasty ticking DoT on several targets)

When Sthaarbs is defeated, it's probably intended that everyone on the platforms gets a [spell=1252434], the [spell=1214374] aura is removed, and we get a parachute applied to fall slowly in normal phase... but that was not always happening correctly ;-) The Rare's corpse will also fall down for you to be looted.
