Remember, Each zone has its very own portal with its very own spawn timer! This is different to when it was first released back in WoD.
You can no longer get this portal straight after a server restart. The minimum spawn timer after a server restart (weekly or maintenance) is 48 hours.
If a portal despawns you will not expect to see it respawn for 2 - 8 hours.
If a portal was claimed then you will not expect to see it respawn again for 7 - 48 hours.
A portal is up for 15 minutes per spawn.

While these models are old, we recently saw another model from Firelands, the [item=69226], make an appearance years later in WoD.
