I am not sure if the skill points for Zandalari fishing is worth anything at all. Trying to fish in open water both in Uldum and Vale (Bfa phases) both in my main with 175 fishing + 52 from other bonuses yield the same amount of fish as my alt with 1 Zandalari fishing. I did not fish any grey items or other type of trash, only Malformed Gnasher and Aberrant Voidfin. I did not test in open waters of Zandalar or Kul'Tiras, as the fish there is not worth this far into the expansion. It's safe to assume, at least for 8.3 fishes, you can just grab the skill and fish, with the same results as a leveled fishing skill.
