    What This Set Covers

This is a complete head-to-toe outfit - it fills 9 armor slots, so it can be worn as a full look with nothing borrowed from another set. Every piece is Bind on Pickup, so the appearances have to be earned rather than bought.

    The Ensemble

Ensemble: Verdant Gladiator's Death Knight Armor is a single item whose use effect learns all of Verdant Gladiator's Plate Armor at once. It is Bind on Pickup. Using it requires level 70.

    Set Bonus

5 pieces of this appearance set also belong to the item set Risen Nightmare's Gravemantle, which carries these bonuses in the game files:

    • 2 pieces (Blood): Consuming Runic Power has a chance to cause your next Heart Strike to apply Ashen Decay, reducing damage dealt to you by 10% and increasing your damage dealt to afflicted targets by 20% for 8 sec.
    • 2 pieces (Frost): Chill Streak's range is increased by 4 yds and can bounce off of you.
    • 2 pieces (Unholy): Apocalypse summons an additional Magus of the Dead. Your Magus of the Dead Shadow Bolt now fires a volley of Shadow Bolts at up to 4 nearby enemies.
    • 4 pieces (Blood): Soul Reaper's execute damage and Abomination Limb's damage applies Ashen Decay to enemy targets, and Heart Strike and Blood Boil's direct damage extends Ashen Decay by 1.1 sec.
    • 4 pieces (Frost): Chill Streak can bounce 3 additional times and each time it bounces, you have a 35% chance to gain a Rune, reduce Chill Streak cooldown by 5 sec, or reduce the cooldown of Empower Rune Weapon by 6 sec.
    • 4 pieces (Unholy): Each Rune you spend increases the duration of your active Magi by 0.5 sec and your Magi will now also cast Amplify Damage, increasing the damage you deal by 5% for 10 sec.

    Shared Pieces and Appearances

6 pieces share their appearance with items outside this set, each with its own collection source:

    Look-Alike Sets

1 other set reuses the 3D models of Verdant Gladiator's Plate Armor’s shoulder, waist, legs, feet and hands, most shared models first:

Matched in the game files: each piece’s ItemDisplayInfo names its 3D model and texture. The same model with another texture is a recolour. Only pieces with a 3D model of their own (helms, shoulders, cloaks, weapons, shields, off-hands and some belts and robes) can be compared this way; pieces drawn from textures alone are left out.

    Other Versions of This Set

The game data carries 21 separate set records under the name Verdant Gladiator's Plate Armor - one per class or armor weight, plus the per-slot recolours the appearance was built from. This page is the one we index for the name; the others are listed here so nothing is lost.
