Source is the collection journal’s own source for each appearance, read from the current retail build; bosses, quests, recipes, prices and requirements come from the game’s item, journal and quest records.
What This Set Covers
This is a complete head-to-toe outfit - it fills 8 armor slots, so it can be worn as a full look with nothing borrowed from another set. Every piece is Bind on Pickup, so the appearances have to be earned rather than bought.

Look-Alike Sets
4 other sets reuse the 3D models of Wild Combatant's Dreadplate Armor’s head, shoulder and waist, most shared models first:
- Warmongering Combatant's Dreadplate Armor (Warlords of Draenor, 25 pieces): the same head, shoulder and waist models, recoloured.
- Warmongering Combatant's Scaled Armor (Warlords of Draenor, 25 pieces): the same head, shoulder and waist models, in the same colours.
- Warmongering Combatant's Plate Armor (Warlords of Draenor, 25 pieces): the same head, shoulder and waist models, in the same colours.
- Demonbreaker Battleplate (Warlords of Draenor, 24 pieces): the same head, shoulder and waist models, recoloured.
Matched in the game files: each piece’s ItemDisplayInfo names its 3D model and texture. The same model with another texture is a recolour. Only pieces with a 3D model of their own (helms, shoulders, cloaks, weapons, shields, off-hands and some belts and robes) can be compared this way; pieces drawn from textures alone are left out.
Other Versions of This Set
The game data carries 2 separate set records under the name Wild Combatant's Dreadplate Armor - one per class or armor weight, plus the per-slot recolours the appearance was built from. This page is the one we index for the name; the others are listed here so nothing is lost.
- Wild Combatant's Dreadplate Armor (set 18) - 88 pieces - Death Knight
