How do you get around in WoW Forever?

WoW Forever launches on November 4, 2026 and it is included with an existing subscription, so a lot of players are about to land in a vanilla shaped Azeroth with no flight network they recognise. There are no flying mounts here and no portal room. Getting anywhere is a flight master, a boat, a zeppelin, or your own two feet.

The one thing that catches everyone out

The flight network does not cross the ocean. Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms are two separate flight networks, and no flight master joins them. We checked this against the route data rather than assuming it: there is no Alliance flight route from Rut'theran Village to Ironforge, and there is no Horde one either. Crossing between continents means a boat or a zeppelin, every time.
