Beyond the Most Horrific Vision of Stormwind

Kind of odd, but if you went straight for 8-mask achieve, it doesn't give you the 5-mask achievement as well at the time of writing this post (Wed June 04 2025).

This was far more difficult than Orgrimmar. Dwarven District is easy. Trade District you just gotta beat down the first elite fast to avoid sanity drains.
My biggest struggle was Old Town trash packs, not killing them fast enough or not using a defensive for each one can eat your health away from avoidable attacks and debuffs, and it's just game over if one of the informants gets their 5-second stun spell off.

Shaw's eyes don't drain extra sanity, thankfully, so they aren't that bad to deal with, just don't get hit by his swirlies when he disappears.

The worst boss is the Mage Quarter boss. You don't have a way to deal with both the sanity drainer and the polymorph simultaneously (Unless you're certain classes that can), so you may need to use 2 restoration orbs on this guy alone. (I didn't need to use my 3rd) I'd probably use bloodlust or drums on this guy if you can't double-interrupt, gain immunity or poly-break. (pvp insignia trinket might be useful)

Get the hard zones out of the way first (practice going to Old Town and Mage Quarter first) since you can easily recover sanity in the easy districts.

I did this achievement as a shadow priest with a blood dk. It wasn't easy for us, so I want to share what worked for us in the end.

We had Soridormi as a DPS, so she could help with interrupting. We did mage quarter first, since it was the most difficult and then teleported back to the cathedral. Then we went to trade district, then old town from the south-west entrance, then teleported back. Last was the dwarven district, we teleported back and did Alleria.

We used food, flasks, weapon oil and had a gear score of around 670. The blood dk used the fire breath potions and I used the heal and def pots. We also used drums at Magister Umbric and Alleria.

It was good that we did the mage quarter first because we were able to try to perfect our routes and play style without wasting too much time when we started over. The pull at the first T-section was always tricky. We went south first, to make sure that the tentacle didn't kill us when we pulled it on accident and then we went north to get to the portals.

Alleria was quite frustrating, because you have to waste a lot of time to get to her just to practice the fight. I think we had 4 or 5 tries on her before we finally killed her but overall we had for sure over 30 runs. Sometimes the runs lasted a few minutes and sometimes over 40.

My biggest tip for Alleria is to stay calm. Theoretically you can dodge all of her skills, so you have time to kill her. Make sure to kick all of the explosives into one direction, otherwise you run out of room.

Also: make sure that you completed all of the quarters before you engage Alleria. After our first kill, we didn't get the achievement because we must have missed a prison, so the trade quarter wasn't completed.

If you feel yourself getting frustrated, just take a break and try again a little later. That helps a lot.
