Destined to be Legendary

This achievement requires you to craft the Sulfuron Hammer. Note you don't have to craft the Legendary version for this achievement.

If you don't have the plans, you can obtain Plans: Sulfuron Hammer by completing the quest A Binding Contract. Bring Sulfuron Ingot x1 to [npc=12944] in Blackrock Depths to unlock this quest.

You'll need Classic Blacksmithing (300) to craft the hammer.

Then, obtain the items required to craft the hammer. You can buy these on the Auction House.

Sulfuron Ingot x8
Dark Iron Bar x20
Arcanite Bar x50
Essence of Fire x25
Blood of the Mountain x10
Lava Core x10
Fiery Core x10

Head to the Black Anvil in Blackrock Depths. This is the centre of Shadowforge City - where [npc=9017] is.

You can combine the hammer once crafted with [item=17204], to create [item=17182] - but this isn't required.

I have had it my bank for NINE YEARS, specifically for this moment. Not to mention all the other profession achievements to create thousands of items, after having made HUNDREDs of thousand of them years ago. There is seriously something wrong with this as a concept. Where in the real world or any concept space do you have to 're earn' an achievement in life FROM SCRATCH when you have the diploma on the wall, the medals hanging around your neck, the reciept and a registered letter from Her Majesty with the Pope congratulating you on your performance!

I had crafted the Sulfuron Hammer long time ago but I still have it on my bags with the signature 'Made by...(me)'. I haven't craft the [item=17182] so the 'you cant prove it' argument does not apply here. I literally got the item in my bags made by myself. After a short debate with customer support I recieved this reply:

Hey there!

This is Game Master ___. Looks like you're concerned about unlocking that achievement. Let's clear that up.

When we mentioned the achievement being unlocked retroactively before. What we meant by that is it's intended that the achievement isn't automatically unlocked if you had crafted it before the achievement was added. It takes crafting it after the achievement was released to earn the achievement. So you'd need to craft it again to get credit now that the achievement is available.
